there's a new lady stealing british hearts 79-year-old granny and her 39-year-old dancing partner pulling off a salsa routine people half her age can't do. i want to be like her when i'm 79. i want to be like her now. see you tomorrow night. welcome to hannity and this is a fox news alert. the federal government may have surrendered against the battle against bundy but senator harry raid sa reid said this is not end. >> this is not over. in a moment bundy will be back. a former nevada sheriff claims his sources inside the federal government say that the bureau of land management may be quietly planning to raid the bundy ranch. now we reach out to the former sheriff for confirmation. he told our team of producers today quote, we have intel
7:01 pm
sources government, law enforcement insiders that have told us the federal government was considering pulling back, having us think that everything was fine and then when we got comfortable and dropped our defenses then they would come in and raid the ranch. we don't know if it was a specific plan but after hearing harry reid's comments we think they are going to come in for a surprise midnight raid. given that warning could there be another standoff brewing tonight. back with us the rancher himself and his daughter and his son. guys welcome back. there's a lot of reports about this. what do you make of the sheriff's comments? >> i really don't know nothing about that. you know, i can say one thing. we had a beautiful moon last night. i thought that thing might be fixed up by the federal government. it was different that's for sure. >> let's put these two things together here.
7:02 pm
we have the former sheriff of grand county, arizona, he made the comment that he has sources inside the federal government warning that the weekend retreat was only a move to distract attraction, diffuse the evenings because a raid on the family's ranch success planned coupled that with harry reid's comments this is not over. you got believe that something is brewing here? >> i got something to say to harry. you know, harry, nevada citizen, we the people elected you to go back to united states senate and take care of united states business, which might be something like defend us from foreign nations. harry get back there and take care of that work and leave us alone here in nevada. you have no business here in clark county, nevada. >> if he's saying it's not over and then you have a sheriff saying he has sources inside the government, what would happen -- we saw the raid with gonzalez,
7:03 pm
i'm not sure if you remember that raid what would happen if they came in the early morning hours one day to your ranch? >> well, first they got to say harry get your army out of nevada. get your army way from my ranch and keep it out. if they come we'll deal with them tonight because if that's what we got to do we'll deal with them. if you got guts enough come on. >> he also said, i don't think it's possible to launch a raid without violence if they came to a rescue would you surrender? >> i went to the proper authorities. >> meaning? >> i don't believe -- it would have to be clark county sheriff. he dome arrest me i would let him arrest me. he's the only man -- >> go ahead. >> he's the only man with arresting power in clark county, nevada. >> there was the hill newspaper today they also said that bureau
7:04 pm
of land management that they are trying to do this administrat e administratively and put out a statement, the director who used to work for harry reid said in a statement following all of this that after the decision that their plan now is the courts with the hope of bankrupting you, quote they will press charges against you in federal court, they will try to basically bleed your ability to defend yourself and beat you up on technical grounds. that's a direct quote from the hill today. what's your response to that? >> well, that's not new. that's what they have been doing for the last 20 years. last two years they had about seven united states attorneys working on me every day and i'll guarantee you, come on we'll take you on. i have four certified letters we picked out of the mail this morning. i haven't opened them but i assume they have some type of lawsuit in there. >> your thoughts on all of this hearing harry reid's comments,
7:05 pm
the sheriff's comments, the colts in the hill newspaper. what's your reaction. it seems nobody is letting this go. they maybe wanted to diffuse what was going on this weekend. >> i would say if i had a reaction not one of fear. which is one that they want to us have. i believe that we were backed by the people of this country and that we the people is where the strength is and it seems like harry reid has forgot that. and so, we're not afraid at all. we're ranching. sean, if you look i know you can't really look, look behind us out at that river there's kids out there playing and a week ago they would have been arrested for that. and we're enjoying this land again. we no longer have to worry about being pounced upon and our faces shoved in the ground and taken to jail because the people stood up. the people did what was right. and they got their freedom back.
7:06 pm
>> ammon, there's no doubt that so many people showed up to support you and i would argue a little bit the media coverage that myself and some other people have given to this case played a part in this because none of it made sense. bailey, let me bring you in here. i'm having a hard time wrapping my arms around the fact your family has been there since the 1800s and trying to claim you owe a million dollars. how much grass can cattle eat for a million dollars worth of food? >> i want to correct you. i guess cows can eat a lot of grass but i don't know if they eat a million dollars worth. >> cliven is this court fines and back fees and penalties and so on? >> it could be. i haven't received a bill for over 20 years. >> what are the letters you said you received you didn't open. do you know who they are from?
7:07 pm

7:08 pm
whatever else they did i mean even if they killed him the people will answer to that. and what i mean by that they will answer that, they will be the ones to make it right. they will be the ones to stand up. >> do you worry that, in fact, they may kill either your dad or somebody in your family? >> you know, this battle has been going on for my whole life almost and if death were our main fear we wouldn't be here today. freedom is much greater than death, and -- >> i can't imagine that they would ratchet this up to that level over land that you're arguing they don't even own that they don't want to use. it's not like they want to build a school or a road or a hospital. that land is going to stay vacant whether or not your cattle are on it or not, right? >> yeah. time will tell. but we know the facts now.
7:09 pm
we can speculate what's going on. but the fact is that the federal government has overstepped their bounds and taken private property. period. >> all right. one thing we're not going to give up following the story and if they plan any type of late night raid and people keep -- there are a number of people that are talking that that kind of -- those kind of discussions are taking place if anything comes to us we'll continue to follow the story. our audience is very interested in it. thank you for being with us. appreciate you being with us. coming up tonight who exactly is the man leading the controversial bureau of land management that is battling cliven bundy. we'll look at him and his back ground. we have an investigative report coming up. judge napolitano will debate. and tax day is here. we'll find out if people think the so-called rich are paying their fair share and then we'll

7:16 pm
unnecessary enforcement of a federal court order using militaristic tactics that are not necessary in modern society in order to force and because ever people like you and other colleagues of ours here at fox and even elsewhere the american public is rallying against the federal government. ordinarily the federal government enforcing a court order doesn't make the newspapers at all. this is front page top of the fold because of these aggressive techniques and resistance. >> whoever heard of 200 agents surrounding a guy's ranch and stealing his cows and snipers hanging out on the outside perimeter of his ranch. we don't even secure our border anywhere near this way and people see it as very heavy handed regardless of who is right in the dispute or not. i don't think that's an issue at this point. the tactics and how they are doing it. do you believe the sheriff who says his sources are saying they would engage in a late night raid of this ranch would happen?
7:17 pm
>> i personally know the sheriff to whom you're referring and i know him to be a person of the highest intellectual honesty. he has the highest fidelity to the constitution as to the deputies who work for him. so do i believe that the most dangerous part of this is yet to come. look, the federal government has a legitimate valid court order. but they don't have to enforce it by bringing in militaristic techniques. they don't have to enforce it by stealing his private property. they can enforce it by filing a document in a courthouse which will enable them to collect the known which they are entitled when he dies or when his property otherwise passes to somebody else and they know that. >> and the former sheriff of grand kroirngs arizona said i don't think it's to launch a raid without violence. i tend to agree with him based on the level where people's emotions are right now.
7:18 pm
judge, do you foresee the potential of a raid here? >> i hope not. i think the federal government's resources literally are without limit and they usually win these things and end up with an innocent person being kidnapped like elian gonzalez or people being killed like at waco, texas. >> i think you hit the nail on the head they should go a court, get an injunction. they should seize maybe assets later if, in fact, the ruling stands and i'm not sure if over time it would stand. judge, thank you. as always, appreciate it. >> here in studio with the other side of this, tamara holder. this may be something we agree on heavy handed tactics here against this rancher. you can have 200 agents and snipers surrounding a ranch and stealing the guy's cattle over a dispute over grass that the cattle are eating.

>> sean, i think that we need to go through the facts. for your viewers and for the sake of educating you because obviously -- >> i say that to you every day. >> i'm learning from the best. >> go ahead. >> there was a '98 order. there was a '99 injunction. this man said he does not believe in the federal government. this is the state of nevada. he took the federal government's land. he's trespassing. he's absolutely trespassing. >> let's assume everything you say is true. you'll send 200 agents for land that the government doesn't want. >> how do you know that? >> they don't want it. they don't have a plan. >> can i go into your house, sean you don't use this bedroom and i'm moving into your bedroom. >> you going to put snipers around his property? where is your sense of proportionately. >> you want to talk about harry reid. >> pedophiles and murderers zmup what judge issued this order?
7:20 pm
a judge that was appointed by president bush. this is not some democratic ploy. >> judge napolitano hit the nail right on the head. they can put an injunction, they can literally put a lien on his assets and property. snipers, agents around the perimeter causing what could be a late night raid where bundy has to defend himself. >> why done he do what he's supposed to do and that's pay his fines. >> a lot of grass for a million dollars. a trespasser. >> he's a trespassers. you don't believe in trespassers coming on to your land. >> look. i'm not saying that he's 100% in the right. >> he's 100% in the wrong. >> the government sense of proportionately and common sense have gone out of window. their heavy handed tactics is out of control.
7:21 pm
you don't send snipers, agents or surround a ranch for the equivalent of a park being ticket compared to what other criminals are doing and we would never use the same tactics against anybody else. >> you can't compare apples and oranges because this is a man who is trespassing. when his life is expire he didn't reannuity in '94. he doesn't have standing to argue this. he's a complete trespasser. >> let's get snipers the trespasser, the cows are eating the government grass. you know how silly this sounds. this is on land they are not using. >> your jumping around is not helping me. >> let me help you. >> this is not going -- >> it's about cattle eating grass on public land that nobody is using. so we're going to send in snipers, tactical teams and by golly we'll steal his cows. designee should take his cows
